The Cottage was built in the mid 1800s and still has the appearance of a traditional cottage. It has however been extensively refurbished and extended to provide comfortable modern accommodation. It is heated throughout by oil-fired central heating and there is also a multi-fuel stove in the main sitting room. All fuel is supplied. A landline telephone line with extensions in the hall and the master bedroom and a wireless broadband network are available for your use.

 Parking is available on the Corran directly outside The Cottage.                                  

There are extensive enclosed terraced gardens to the rear of the cottage for your exclusive use. The area nearest the property is paved and has a picnic table. There is a walled front garden across the road from The Cottage adjacent to the stony beach. This garden is also used by guests staying in Pier House and has 2 picnic tables. 

FOR THOSE WITH SMALL CHILDREN PLEASE NOTE A SMALL BURN RUNS THROUGH THE REAR GARDEN ABOUT 20 metres FROM THE HOUSE.

The large kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with electric ceramic hob, multifunction oven, microwave oven large fridge/freezer and dishwasher.  Leading from the kitchen is a useful utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and pulley drier. There is a rotary clothes line in the back garden. Washing up liquid, washing powder and dishwasher tablets are all supplied

The sitting room has satellite TV and a DVD player. Leading from this is an additional garden room with french doors to the rear gardens. There is a good supply of maps, books, games, puzzles and DVDs together with extensive tourist information.

The Cottage sleeps 5 in three bedrooms which all have wonderful views across the loch. The beds are made up with 13.5 tog duvets but 4.5 tog summer weight duvets are also available. There is a choice of pillows and each room has a hairdryer. Each room has adequate storage including hanging space and luggage racks. Both the large bedrooms have satellite TVs and the small bedroom has a satellite radio.

The master bedroom has a super king bed and an ensuite shower room with underfloor heating.

The other large bedroom has a super king bed and a separate full size single bed which can be used if 2 adults require separate beds or would be suitable for a child sharing with parents.

The small single room has a full size single bed.

The family bathroom has an antique claw foot bath, underfloor heating and lovely views of Ben Shieldaig. There is an additional shower room downstairs off the utility room.

A high chair and travel cot are available on request.

We have a 7kw EV charger which is available to guests staying at The Cottage and Pier House by prior arrangement.
